Dalam buku ini, digitalisasi layanan laboratorium di Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Layanan Umum (PTN BLU) dikaji dalam kaitannya dengan politik. Mengingat betapa cepatnya perkembangan teknologi, digitalisasi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan kualitas layanan pendidikan, khususnya di laboratorium PTN BLU. Sembilan bab dalam buku ini mencakup berbagai topik, mulai dari administrasi dan pembiayaan digitalisasi hingga undang-undang yang mengaturnya, politik, implementasinya, dan infrastruktur teknologi yang dibutuhkan. Dampak sosial, ekonomi, dan pendidikan dari digitalisasi juga dibahas dalam buku ini, beserta kesulitan yang dihadapi, seperti masalah keamanan siber dan penolakan terhadap perubahan. Bagi para akademisi dan praktisi yang berupaya memajukan digitalisasi dalam pendidikan tinggi, buku ini menawarkan wawasan yang menyeluruh.
