Abstrak

Reproduksi merupakan salah satu proses biologis yang sangat penting dalam proses kelangsungan hidup ikan. Proses ini melibatkan beberapa tahapan mulai dari pematangan gonad, pemijahan, pembuahan, hingga perkembangan larva. Studi mengenai reproduksi ikan menjadi sangat penting karena berpengaruh terhadap populasi ikan di alam maupun dalam budidaya. Pemahaman mengenai sistem reproduksi ikan diperlukan dalam pengelolaan sumber daya perikanan yang berkelanjutan. Buku ini dikemas secara komprehensif mengenai Reproduksi Ikan. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup Pendahuluan Reproduksi Ikan, Anatomi dan Fisiologi Sistem Reproduksi Ikan, Jenis-jenis Reproduksi Ikan, Siklus Reproduksi Ikan, Perilaku Pemijahan Ikan, Fertilisasi dan Perkembangan Embrio, dan Faktor Lingkungan dan Reproduksi Ikan. Selain itu, buku ini juga membahas aspek penting lainnya seperti; Reproduksi Ikan di Alam Liar dan Budidaya, Reproduksi Ikan Langka dan Konservasi, Gangguan dan Masalah dalam Reproduksi Ikan, dan Reproduksi Ikan dan Keberlanjutan Perikanan. Buku ini disusun untuk menjadi referensi utama bagi mahasiswa perikanan, biologi, dan bidang terkait lainnya. Selain itu, buku ini juga relevan bagi peneliti, praktisi, dan pengambil kebijakan yang terlibat dalam pengelolaan sumber daya ikan. Dengan menyajikan informasi berbasis ilmiah dan relevan dengan kondisi terkini, buku ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan praktik kegiatan perikanan di Indonesia.
