Abstrak

Sektor perikanan memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, memberikan pengaruh baik di tingkat nasional maupun regional. Indonesia memiliki potensi yang sangat besar dalam sektor perikanan, terutama dalam perikanan laut dan produksi produk perikanan. Sektor perikanan berfungsi sebagai sumber makanan yang penting dan penyedia lapangan kerja yang cukup besar. Selain itu, industri perikanan berperan dalam membangun hubungan dengan sektor ekonomi lainnya dan menambah pertumbuhan ekonomi secara umum. Peningkatan teknologi sering kali berpusat pada inovasi di bidang industri, manufaktur, kesehatan, dan transportasi. Namun demikian, kemajuan teknologi yang signifikan juga terjadi pada industri perikanan. Kemajuan teknologi perikanan mampu meningkatkan produktivitas, kualitas, dan efektivitas industri. Buku ini memberikan analisis yang komprehensif mengenai sektor perikanan dengan fokus pada potensi, inovasi teknologi, peluang bisnis, pengembangan pariwisata bahari, dampak perubahan iklim, isu-isu pengelolaan perikanan, dan dampaknya terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir.
