Abstrak

Buku ini mengeksplorasi hubungan yang kompleks antara bahasa dan budaya dalam konteks masyarakat. Etnolinguistik, sebagai disiplin ilmu, mengkaji bagaimana bahasa tidak hanya sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai cerminan identitas budaya, nilai-nilai, dan pandangan dunia suatu kelompok etnis. Dalam buku ini, penulis menguraikan konsep-konsep dasar etnolinguistik, termasuk kajian tentang variasi bahasa di berbagai komunitas, serta dampak sosial dan politik terhadap penggunaan bahasa. Melalui studi kasus dari berbagai daerah, buku ini menunjukkan bagaimana bahasa dapat menjadi simbol perjuangan identitas dan keberagaman budaya. Selain itu, buku ini juga membahas peran teknologi dan globalisasi dalam mengubah lanskap linguistik, serta tantangan yang dihadapi bahasa-bahasa minoritas di era modern. Dengan pendekatan multidisipliner, pembaca diajak untuk memahami pentingnya pelestarian bahasa dan budaya dalam menjaga warisan budaya dunia. Secara keseluruhan, buku "Etnolinguistik" menawarkan wawasan mendalam bagi akademisi, mahasiswa, dan siapa pun yang tertarik untuk memahami hubungan antara bahasa dan budaya, serta pentingnya keberagaman linguistik dalam masyarakat global.
